ETHBid is a discovery market on Arbitrum. Projects bid Paxos USDG to rank on a public leaderboard, and a higher bid gets more homepage exposure and clicks. Ranking runs fully onchain through the ProjectRegistry, RankingRound and BidRouter contracts. A bid costs about $0.02 in gas on Arbitrum, compared with about $0.51 on Ethereum.
<p>Ethbid was already live on ethereum mainnet, so during the buildathon i ported it to arbitrum. </p><p></p><p>I redeployed all 3 contracts on arbitrum sepolia, switched bids to paxos USDG, and kept ENS names resolving from L1. </p><p>Gas per bid dropped from about 50 cents to 2 cents, which means small teams can actually afford to compete for visibility now. </p><p></p><p>I also fixed a bug where withdrawn bids were showing as "claimed #0", and shipped the arbitrum version live at arb.longbid.lol. next up is arbitrum one mainnet and getting the first real projects on the board.</p>
<p>Bootstrapped, no funding raised yet. solo builder for now, open to grants and talking to investors after mainnet launch on arbitrum one.</p>
