RWA infrastructure protocol building and operating energy storage systems, generating real revenue
Megawatt is an RWA infrastructure protocol creating a new green energy asset class by building and operating battery energy storage systems (BESS). Energy infrastructure has traditionally been accessible only to large institutions. We're changing that by bridging DeFi capital with hard-to-access energy markets, enabling investors to earn 12–15% annual yield backed by real-world energy revenues.
How it works:
Raise capital through vaults → deploy capital and build BESS infrastructure → generate revenue from energy markets → distribute revenues back onchain to liquidity providers in near real time.
During the buildathon, we improved our technical implementation on Arbitrum with guidance from our mentors, refined our demo, and learned & improved on our smart contract security. We also received valuable feedback on our product and pitch, connected with talented builders for potential partnerships, and left with a much stronger product overall.
Privately financed and completed two BESS projectsvalued at 2.4€m before launching Megawatt. Following our incorporation, we are now raising our seed round for 6.5M€ to finance the first battery energy storage eystem through the Megawatt protocol.
