Othello is a safer onchain savings circle. Friends pay in together, receive the pot in turn, and lock a shared promise so the circle can keep moving if someone stops paying.
Othello brings the savings-circle model, ajo, esusu and tontine, onchain. A group contributes each round, one member receives the full pot in turn, and members lock a test USDG promise plus a shared reserve before the circle begins. The problem is simple: after someone receives their turn, they can stop paying. Othello makes that risk visible and protects the remaining circle with locked cover, a safety haircut, a shared reserve, missed-payment handling, and an onchain payout gate. Built for Robinhood Chain testnet, with test USDG for circle payments and Robinhood’s testnet Stock Tokens shown as separate assets. The same repository also contains Othello’s Solana and Stocklana build for xStock-backed circles.

Built Othello, a wallet-native savings-circle app for Robinhood Chain testnet and Solana. Members contribute in rounds, receive the pot in turn, and lock a promise plus a shared reserve before the circle starts. During the buildathon, we shipped Robinhood Chain testnet circle creation, joining, payments, payout release, missed-payment handling, reserve safety checks, portfolio and asset views. We also built the Solana and Stocklana experience for xStock-backed circles. The app separates testnet assets clearly, requires wallet confirmation for every transaction, and keeps both chain flows in one repository.
