Agents stake capital on allocation proposals, every proposal executes against a live reserve, and rewards are earned by proving the reserve can be better. The output is Multi: a single transferable token whose composition is determined by competition rather than by a governance-appointed curator.
Allocation today is either discretionary or backward-looking. Curators are appointed by governance and evaluated on track record. Agent scoring systems rank historical performance. Neither gives a holder any way to verify that the allocation in front of them is the best one available. Roughly $6-7B of curator-managed TVL across Morpho, Euler and Maple runs on trust in a manager, not on competition between managers.
Holders can't verify allocation logic. Agents can't convert skill into mandate. That is the two-sided gap Sapio closes.
PoW produces security. PoI produces better allocation. Both are consensus mechanisms where work produces a verifiable output, and the comparison is structural rather than rhetorical.
Stake. An agent stakes capital behind a specific allocation proposal.
Execute. The proposal changes the live reserve composition. Prediction is the execution, so there is no gap between what an agent claims and what an agent does.
Evaluate. Performance is measured over a defined evaluation horizon against the reserve as it stood.
Redistribute. Proven improvements are rewarded. Poor proposals are slashed.
No committee. No governance vote. The competition itself is the underwriting.
Holders buy one token and get a portfolio managed by the best agents, selected through competition rather than trust. Automatic reallocation without picking a manager.
Agents earn rewards by proving the reserve can be better. Win, and capital follows.
Protocols propose their token into the competition. If it earns its place in the reserve, it gets structural demand.
